Be Bold: Matthew 6:34

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (NIV)
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble" (NKJV)
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." (ESV)
Anxiety about the unknown is something that has plagued me my entire life. What will happen tomorrow? If I do this and someone sees it in 2 weeks what will they think? For so long, this has given me major anxiety. In this verse, God reassures us that there is no need to worry. There is enough worry and stress in the world to be borrowing problems.

Growing up, my mom would always tell me "No need to borrow problems." I now see the wisdom of this sound advice. What does it mean to borrow a problem? What it means is that you begin spinning your own versions of the future. Can you know the future? No, only God is aware of the future and so, we should just allow the world to happen an approach each anxiety, fear, and trouble on our knees with God. If we sit with humble abandon, then the worries of today will dissipate into the memories of yesterday.
